I'm so tired

I am alive - just barely. So this is going to be really short.  My life has been consumed with baseball for the last few weeks. I will post pictures this weekend.  Not much of anything else.  I've been fighting allergy problems so I am feeling really puny.  Late baseball nights + allergy problems = yucky feeling.  I feel like poop but I need to watch my Texas Rangers. When is the next time I will see them in the World Series?  Straight to my soundtrack, the theme today is tired.

Thanks for reading my blog. Go Rangers!

Lazy Julie

Another Saturday night and it's just me and my squatter.  I think that's how a lot of my blogs have started.  Oh well that is my life and I will not lie about it.  The fact is I've had more Saturday nights like this than I can count.  I used to get upset but now it's just a fact of life.  Plus I get to decide what TV show to watch and what to eat for dinner. If I want to watch reruns of Law & Order: SVU all day long and eat a chocolate cake for dinner, I can. Tonight it's Game 1 of the Rangers vs Tigers and a little red wine. That's not to shabby.

So let's talk a little TV.  My new favorite shows are as follows:
  • Prime Suspect on NBC - I love Marie Bello in this. She is a bitch and I love that.
  • Suburgatory on ABC - I can't believe that Jeremy Sisto is sexy. All it took was him being a TV father, gaining weight and a beard. Yum!!!
  • Mad Fashion on Bravo - Chris March, SNAP!

The TV shows that I like but can't believe I do, are as follows:
  • Happy Endings on ABC
  • Whitney on NBC
Why am I watching them? What is wrong with me? They both are really stupid. I feel so much superior after the show. Maybe that's why I like them?

Today was my complete lazy day.  I slept late and then watched everything I DVR'd over the past week.  Man, I love wizzing through those shows.  Then it was a nice 1 1/2 hour nap.  I did manage to do a little cleaning.  This past week was really busy so all I wanted to do was rest. And rest I did.  Good Saturday.  I honor of my day of leisure, soundtrack theme is laziness.

The laziest man on TV.

The Greatest game ever!

Yes, I am slacker. Well actually I have not been feeling good.  My allergies were bringing me down all week.  Even as I sit here, I am still feeling puny.

Dating - nope.  Ever heard of the Dust Bowl of the 1930's?  Well, I am the dating equivalent.

The main thing on my mind this past week was Rangers post season baseball.  Not sure if I've mentioned this but I LOVES me some baseball.  Like, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. When I graduated from college, I sent my resume to the Rangers like every 3 months and as you can see, they never took me up on the offer.  But I believe that things happen for a reason. It's all good because I've been to my share of games over the last 20 odd years.  Good times!

Not a lot on my mind. This blog is short but sweet. For today's soundtrack the theme is baseball.  Go Rangers!! Enjoy!

Finally made it to Harry's house in 2002 with my sisters.

Oh Bruce you were one sexy man in a baseball cap.

Baseball & Kevin Costner - YES please!

One Charlie Sheen movie I loved.

Journaling - Every Day I Write the Book

It's the most wonderful time of the year.  The brand new TV Fall season is in full swing.  And what does that mean for me?  For awhile it means less bitching about me being dateless because I will be super busy with all my stories.  This chica loves her some TV.  I've always been this way and that will never change.  Can I just say how happy I am that I ended up getting FIOS?  Two reasons - DVR and On Demand.  That is some good stuff man!  Now back to me bitching about not having a boyfriend. :)

The other day I went through a storage box that had all my calendars and journals.  I've kept a journal since I was 13 (of course back then I called it my diary) and a daytimer since I was 15 years old. Wow, I love to write about myself.  Or  maybe I have so many problems I need some place to put them. :)  Anyhoozlebees, I read a few of them and just had to laugh at some of my entries. Wow, I was a bit of drama queen in my teen years.  I didn't think I was but unfortunately I have it all in black in white to prove it.  But at the same time it was nice to see that it seems like I've grown up just a little and learned a lot about myself.  I have suggested to several people to start using a journal. Whether you use it just a place to jot down what you accomplished, a place to vent, daydream or to write stories - it's a good idea to keep one.  But that's just my opinion.

So not a lot going on in this girl's world besides work and a little bit of my love - television. :)  The soundtrack for today is writing.  Enjoy!

What a cute little guy!

Oh Mark Darcy!!!

I know this isn't about writing but it's from a movie about writing.

No catchy title today

Where did the week go?  My squatter, Oliver was sick most of the week. The hardest part of the week?  Trying to give a cat a pill.  Really, can't it be in liquid form?  I mean really.  Medication started on Wednesday and hopefully it will be done tomorrow.  Oh and here is the bonus part, one pill was twice a day so that means that I had to wrestle Oliver down and then come up as the champion but completely covered in white cat hair.  GROSS!!  My lint roller got a workout.

The rest of the week is a blur. I had 3 shows this week and had a blast at each of them.  This is going to be a short blog because I am watching the Emmy's and you know how much I love me some TV.  The soundtrack theme today is from the shows I went to this week.  Enjoy!

The Sounds of Silence

10 years ago, everything we knew changed.  We asked why and how?  We held our family closer and cried with the rest of the country.  Shortly after that it seemed that many rediscovered just how lucky they were to be living in this country.  More Stars and Stripes graced doors, lawns and cars.

Watching the memorial service this morning brought back my sadness and heartbreak.  To all those that were lost, the first responders that were there and the survivors, you are in my heart, thoughts and my  prayers.  Music has a way of healing and helping me cope with many things. Just a few songs to get me through the day.

Thanks for reading my blog and hug your family.

Bring on some Football!

Wow, summer is over.  What did I do during all that time?  Oh yeah, lots of work and lots of concerts.  Best summer concert memory - front row at Stone Temple Pilots. Woo!!! Still on my Scott Weiland high.

Now it's time for fall.  Bring on the great temps and football.  Can't wait for the season to start.  This season it will be so different because I joined a fantasy football league at work. I have never done anything like this.  Today was our online draft and it was really scary for me since it was my first time. I made it through but had a few incidents (like not being ready or not paying attention when my pick was taken).  Overall, I have no idear what I am doing. I honestly don't know what to do after the draft but I will just follow the rest of my office friends and copy them.

In honor of today's draft, my soundtrack is sports.  Enjoy!!

Bring it on!

Great movie!
So 80's but so funny!

What a great show!
Brings backs lots o'memories of the Panhandle.

This is from their album "Sports", so it kinda counts.
